PUF Wall Sandwich Panels

The most widely used insulated panel in Indian construction, and for good reason. Polyurethane foam delivers reliable thermal insulation at a price point that makes large-scale projects viable. Manufactured on a continuous press line at our Derabassi facility. Proven across thousands of buildings. If your project needs solid insulation without the premium of PIR, this is the panel to specify.

The Short Version

When PUF is the Right Call

Not every project needs PIR. That is the honest answer. If your building is a standard warehouse, an industrial shed, a logistics facility, or a chiller room operating above minus 20 degrees, PUF will do the job and save you money doing it. The thermal performance is excellent. The installation is identical. The panel comes off the same continuous press line at Derabassi with the same quality control. Where PIR wins is fire performance and extreme low-temperature stability. Where PUF wins is value. For the majority of industrial and commercial projects across India, PUF is the specification that makes engineering and financial sense.

Before You Order

Specification Checklist

Most specification mistakes happen early. Wrong thickness for the temperature delta. Wrong fire class for the occupancy type. Wrong coating grade for the site conditions. Use this checklist before you freeze your bill of quantities.

Questions

Before You Specify

The questions our engineering team gets asked most by architects, procurement teams, and cold storage contractors.

What thickness of PUF panel do I need for cold storage?

Chiller rooms (0°C to +5°C) typically need 60 to 80mm in PUF. Standard cold rooms (-18°C to 0°C) need 100 to 120mm. For deep freeze below minus 20°C, we recommend either 120 to 150mm PUF or switching to PIR panels which achieve the same insulation at a thinner profile. Our team will calculate the exact requirement for your temperature and location.

Yes, for standard clean room applications. PUF panels with smooth GI or stainless steel facings meet basic GMP surface requirements. For facilities requiring enhanced fire ratings as part of the GMP specification, we would recommend PIR panels instead. Our team can advise based on your specific regulatory requirements.

PUF is the right choice when your project needs solid thermal insulation at a competitive price and does not require enhanced fire performance. That covers the majority of warehouses, industrial buildings, logistics facilities, and standard cold storage above minus 20°C. PIR is the better choice when fire safety is a primary requirement, when you need to minimise panel thickness, or when operating below minus 25°C. We manufacture both on the same line at Derabassi and will recommend honestly based on your actual needs.

Standard lead time for PUF wall panels is 2 to 3 weeks from confirmed order. PUF panels are our highest volume product, so availability is generally faster than PIR or Rockwool. Custom RAL colours may add 1 week. Contact our team for urgent requirements.
