What counts as a modular building rather than a portable cabin?
Scale and permanence of intent, mainly. A portable cabin is one or a few units meant to move with a project. A modular building is a larger, room-based structure, staff housing, a hostel block, a multi-room administrative building, built from repeated volumetric modules but intended to function as a proper building for the long term, even if it was assembled faster than conventional construction.
Can modular buildings handle worker housing at scale?
Yes, and this is one of our most requested modular building types. PUF-insulated room modules repeated across a housing block give you consistent quality and thermal comfort across every unit, which matters enormously in extreme climate zones where a badly insulated room becomes genuinely unlivable.
How many rooms or modules can a single modular building contain?
As many as your layout requires. Modules repeat along corridors and can stack vertically within engineering limits, so a housing block might be twenty rooms or two hundred, built from the same repeated module design, just multiplied.
Is a modular building faster to construct than an equivalent RCC building?
Significantly. Because most of the work happens at our Derabassi facility while site foundation work proceeds in parallel, a modular building of comparable size is typically ready in half the time or less compared to conventional construction, without sacrificing the quality of the finished rooms.
What finishing standard do modular building rooms come with?
Fully finished, not a bare shell. Flooring, wall finish, electrical points, and fittings are completed at the factory to the level your project specifies, whether that is basic worker accommodation or a higher finish standard for staff or guest housing.
