Fire Rated PIR Wall Panels

This is the panel you specify when fire performance and thermal efficiency both matter. Manufactured on a continuous press line at Derabassi using a 5-component PIR foam system. Every panel comes out with the same density, the same thermal value, the same quality. That is what a continuous line does that batch production cannot.

The Short Version

Why PIR and not PUF?

PUF has been the standard insulation core in Indian construction for years and it works fine for most applications. But PIR does the same job better. The foam is chemically similar but the reaction produces a more rigid, more thermally stable core that performs significantly better in a fire. PIR chars and self-extinguishes. PUF does not do that as reliably. For cold storage, pharmaceutical, defence, or any project where fire performance matters alongside thermal efficiency, PIR is the specification serious operators write into their tenders.

Before You Order

Specification Checklist

Most specification mistakes happen early. Wrong thickness for the temperature delta. Wrong fire class for the occupancy type. Wrong coating grade for the site conditions. Use this checklist before you freeze your bill of quantities.

Questions

Before You Specify

The questions our engineering team gets asked most by architects, procurement teams, and cold storage contractors.

What thickness do I need for cold storage?

Chiller rooms (0°C to +5°C) typically need 60mm. Standard cold rooms need 80 to 100mm. Deep freeze needs 100 to 120mm. Blast freeze needs 120 to 150mm. PIR panels can achieve equivalent insulation at slightly thinner profiles than PUF.

Yes. PIR panels with smooth stainless steel or galvanised steel facings are widely used in GMP-compliant pharmaceutical environments. The smooth surface is easy to clean and meets WHO GMP and EU GMP Annex 1 requirements.

PIR has a more thermally stable foam core. Better fire resistance, lower smoke toxicity, better dimensional stability under temperature cycling, and better thermal performance at the same thickness. PUF is more affordable. PIR is the professional specification for fire-sensitive and thermally demanding applications.

Standard lead time is 2 to 4 weeks from confirmed order. Custom RAL colours and special facings may add 1 to 2 weeks. For urgent requirements, contact our team directly.
