POWDER COATING A FINISH THAT LASTS

Wet paint starts failing the moment it finishes drying, because solvent evaporation leaves microscopic gaps in the film. Powder coating fuses into a single continuous layer with no gaps at all. It is the standard finishing process we apply in-house at Derabassi, with controlled thickness and verified quality on every component that leaves the factory.

◈

Genuinely Harder Finish

Fuses into a continuous protective layer that resists chipping and fading far longer than wet paint.

◇

Controlled, Verified Thickness

Every batch coated to 60 to 120 microns and checked with a calibrated gauge, not approved by eye.

◎

Environmentally Cleaner

No solvent emissions during application, and overspray powder can be reclaimed and reused.

◻

One Standard, Every Product

The same finishing process applied consistently across cabins, tanks, doors, and structural components.

What Nobody Tells You About Paint

Wet Paint Starts Failing
the Moment It Finishes Curing.

Liquid paint dries through solvent evaporation, which leaves microscopic gaps in the film as those solvents escape. Those gaps are where moisture gets in first, where chipping starts first, and where the coating begins its slow failure from day one. Powder coating cures differently, the dry powder melts and cross-links into a single continuous film with no solvent to evaporate and no gaps left behind. It is not a thicker layer of the same idea, it is a fundamentally different chemistry, and it is why the finish lasts years longer under identical conditions.

Why Powder Coating Over Wet Paint

Harder Finish, Less Environmental Waste

Wet paint chips, fades faster, and releases solvents into the air as it dries. Powder coating fuses into a genuinely harder, more durable surface that resists chipping, fading, and corrosion far better over the years a component actually spends in service. It also produces no solvent emissions and overspray can be reclaimed and reused, which is why it has become the standard finish across the steel components we manufacture at Derabassi, from cabin panels to tank shells to door frames.

What buyers ask about our in-house powder coating finish.

Powder coating uses a dry powder applied electrostatically and then cured in an oven, where it melts and fuses into a continuous solid layer. Wet paint dries through solvent evaporation, which leaves microscopic gaps in the film as those solvents escape, and those gaps are where corrosion and chipping start first.

We control film thickness to 60 to 120 microns depending on the application, verified with a calibrated gauge on every batch. Too thin and the coating will not properly protect the surface. Too thick and it can crack or lose adhesion. This is not a detail we leave to visual inspection.

Yes. We apply it across cabin exteriors, container structures, water tank outer components, door and window hardware, and structural accessories, wherever a durable steel finish is needed.

A wide range of standard and custom RAL colours are available, matched to your project’s branding or architectural requirement.

Yes, with appropriate phosphate pretreatment before coating. The pretreatment stage is what actually determines long-term adhesion and corrosion resistance, which is why we never skip it regardless of the finish colour or component type.
